Chalk experiments with nature
Chalk has been experimenting further with nature by printing more English roses.
On the original rose each petal was 0.5mm thick, however in hindsight we felt we could probably have gone down to about 0.3mm due to its surprising structural strength. We printed our second rose with petals 0.2mm thick; however this was pushing the limits of the machine's accuracy and consequently was extremely difficult to clean due to its frailty.
We dipped this rose into leather dye to give it, its red colour.
We have also printed a rose on our new machine as you can see it still does a good job despite the lower resolution.
